In 2018, Outcast partnered with Intuit Mint to help run communications and create content for social channels. We developed a new brand look and feel specifically for social channels, founded in Mint’s branding but expanding out into an gestural illustrative space to keep content feeling whimsical and approachable. The style humanizes the brand and brings the “person” back into personal finances.

With the best “grab and go” checkout technology out there, and a landmark partnership with Circle K on the horizon, it was time for Standard AI to create a brand identity that was as future-ready as their product. Guided by the client’s strong principles, Outcast tackled ethical and privacy concerns around computer vision head-on — particularly the ongoing racial bias throughout AI. We identified ways to differentiate Standard AI as an enterprise platform and, for consumers, as an ingredient brand.

Through this we crafted a visual and verbal identity that would not only serve the client today, but through years of transformation and evolution: bold, legible, and timelessly minimalistic. We crafted guidelines to encourage Standard AI to embrace its wit and intellect in every brand communication — all while respecting the audience and reaching them on their terms.
